Entry to the Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize 2017

I have been working on two paintings which are a development of the work I have done in the Crowd series. Having just completed these paintings, I have titled them ’Shadows’ and "Parallel'. These are entries for the Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize 2017. To find out more information about this competition, please click on the link below.

Vividh: Multiple Expressions of Indian Art, Asia House, October 2016

Vividh as the name suggests was an exhibition of artworks by a group of artists from across India, genres, and schools of art that makes Visual Art UK’s annual show. This show presents a diverse range of artistic expressions, focussing on a comprehensive overview of Indian art over the last few decades. This annual exhibition provides an opportunity to see works by the legends of Indian art such as MF Hussain, FN Souza, Jamini Roy and J Swaminathan sit side by side with  the works of emerging artists. I feel very privileged to have been part of this annual show for some years.

As much as being able to share and discuss one’s work with the viewer, it is always a pleasure to catch up with the other artists about our artistic journeys since the last annual show.
